I haven’t always been consistent with working out. And to be honest lately, it’s not been on my radar much at all. I used to never work out and would come home and watch TV all night. I started to feel like I was stuck in a rut and something had to change. Coming home and doing the same routine, with the same shitty job- all of which I could change. While changing jobs took some time, getting in a consistent exercise routine and setting some goals was an instant decision I could work on immediately. So I did, and using the follow tips I pretty much stuck with it consistently Set reminders and goals. Use your phone to remind you at a certain time you need to workout. Another great option is to get the Productive app and set up goals for yourself. As you do them, you mark them as completed and it keeps track of how long you’ve been consistent with your goal. Seeing that calendar of day after day of working out and not skipping has really kept me on track. I don’t want to lost my streak! Stick to a shorter workout when you really […]

*This post may contain affiliate links My Whole30 experience… If you’re reading this you’ve probably heard of Whole30 or maybe you are interested in trying it out and would like some opinions on it. Well here’s mine.. I personally, really enjoyed it. To say that it was EASY, I would be lying. BUT it did get easier. First, let’s chat about what Whole30 is and why some may try it out. So Whole30 is basically 30 days of clean eating- NO sugar, dairy, gluten, legumes (which to be honest I’m still not quite sure what those even include). The program is to help people improve their health, habits, and relationship with food. To make your transition super easy, Whole30.com has a ton of free resources to get you started. The top resources I referred to often, if not daily was the Shopping list and the Sneaky Sugars guide. Press handstand… oh how impossible you seem to achieve. Once I figured out a press handstand was actually attainable, I was hooked. When you realize that actual humans(more than just one superhuman) can actually do it, you start to ask: how? Where do I start? Are you an alien? IS that even humanly possible? Well, it IS! With consistent practice, overtime you will be able to do it. You will want to make sure you can handstand first. It’s amazing to watch people press handstand. I’m not even close to having press handstand, but I’ve improved immensely thanks to a consistent practice and some awesome YouTube videos. Check them out below, for tips and drills!
At some point in your life you may have been told to “try yoga for *insert problem here*” or maybe you haven’t. If you’ve complained about physical or mental problems around me, it’s likely I have told you “you should try yoga”. Sometimes I feel like even suggesting it is pretty cliche and people are secretly rolling their eyes at me, but honestly if you haven’t tried it and given it 100% you likely will never know what you are missing out on. Which is why I’ve decided to share my 5 reasons to start practicing yoga!
When it comes to working out, I don’t usually want to spend a whole lot of time doing so. Committing to more than 30 minutes, sounds like torture to me. I always shoot for quick yoga workouts, when I’m short on time or feeling lazy. Somehow though, I usually love it once I start and keep going for at least an hour. As I got more into yoga, I realized it doesn’t have to be a freakin’ 45 minute to an hour class every time I want to practice. This is when I discovered all of the yoga videos Youtube had to offer. Finding short yoga free yoga videos, is rather easy especially with Youtube. You can search “15 minute yoga routine” and find tons of videos, but you may not like the flow or the teacher. Don’t be discouraged, keep trying videos until one of them clicks, aligning with your wants from a class. For me, I tend to want to get the most bang for my buck, I want to do something quickly and get the most benefits possible. So what lean towards is a class that focuses on a fast flow that will get your blood […]
